Drape Hire for Wedding & Events

Draping is one of the simplest ways to change the look and feel of an event space. It can be used to cover plain walls, hide unwanted background areas, divide large rooms, create fabric backdrops, or give a stage area a more polished finish.

Our adjustable drape systems are commonly used for weddings, corporate events, birthdays, trade shows, kitchen teas, gala dinners and private functions. They work especially well in venues where the existing walls, wallpaper, curtains or open areas don’t suit the style of the event.

Black, white and red drapes are available, with adjustable frames that can be linked together to suit different room sizes and layouts. We offer delivery and setup in both Sydney and Melbourne.

Adjustable Drape Systems

Our adjustable drape systems are suitable for a wide range of venues, layouts and event uses. They can be used as fabric walls, room dividers, stage surrounds, entry features, or to screen off areas that you don’t want visible during the event.

Each system is built using heavy-duty steel uprights, crossbars and weighted base plates. The frames can be adjusted in height and width, then linked together in 3 metre sections to cover longer walls or larger open areas.

Black and red velvet drapes are available, along with white silk-style draping for softer event styling. All drapes are prepared before delivery to help create a clean, professional finish.

Features and specifications

Popular Draping Applications

Drapes can be used in a few different ways depending on the venue, event style and areas you need to cover. Some clients use them to improve the look of a room, while others use them to divide spaces, screen off access areas, or create a more finished look around stages, entries and feature areas.

Wedding draping: For weddings, white draping is often the most popular choice. It can soften the look of a venue, cover walls that don’t suit the styling, or create a clean fabric finish behind a bridal table, ceremony area, photo area or entry feature.

Corporate events and exhibitions: Black draping is commonly used for corporate events, gala dinners, exhibitions and trade shows where a clean, professional finish is needed. It can help screen off service areas, toilets, office spaces, VIP areas, catering zones, presentation areas or parts of a venue that shouldn’t be visible to guests.

Movie premieres and special events: Red velvet draping works well for events where you want a stronger feature look. It is often used for red carpet entries, movie premieres, awards nights, sporting events and special occasions where the draping forms part of the visual theme.

Drape Hire FAQs

How High And Wide Are Your Drapes?

Our drape systems are adjustable from 1.8 metres to 3 metres in height and width, making them suitable for most venues and event spaces. We don’t offer drapes higher than 3 metres at this stage, but longer runs can be created by linking additional sections together. The total length will depend on your layout and stock availability.

Can We Use Drapes As Room Dividers?

Yes, our drape systems are commonly used to divide large venues into separate functional areas. They are useful for screening off spaces, creating walkways or separating event areas, but they don’t block sound and the fabric can still be parted if someone needs access.

Do You Offer Installation?

Yes. We offer delivery, setup and collection throughout Sydney and Melbourne, seven days a week. Night collections may also be available when required, depending on the event location and timing.

Can Draping Be Used For Exhibitions?

Yes, draping is often used for exhibition booths, talks, demonstrations, catering areas, breakout spaces, cocktail areas and networking events. It can also be used to create passageways or screen off sections of an exhibition space.

How Do I Know How Much Draping I Need?

The amount of draping required depends on the dimensions of the space and the coverage you want. Our team can recommend the right quantity based on your floor plan, venue photos or measurements. If needed, you can send through the details and we can help sketch out a suitable setup.
